Day One
Early Level Reflections
Monkey lives in the P1 classroom, always listening carefully and watching closely. With the help of the adults, he records what he sees and hears on post-its to share with the children. We look at the photos and discuss which skills are happening. Each day, we will think about which skills we have used again in a different activity.
First Level Reflections
Today has been fun! I loved lots of outdoor things. It was really good doing new learning of lots of things. It was the best day of my life. |
It was amazing! It was brilliant and almost as good as playing with my x-box....but not quite! Incredible! |
I loved today. It was so much fun. I loved being outdoors.
Day Two
Early Level Reflections
Nursery and P1 had the opportunity to think about their experiences in small groups. They engaged in mark-making, creating pictures or writing to help them remember what had happened and what they enjoyed. The adults were able to ask questions to provoke thinking or guide the children, often scribing the children's verbal explanations. These are the first stages developmental stages of early reflection.

First Level Reflections
The children received a postcard from Peter at the beginning of the week. As they reply to him, they will be reflecting on their learning experiences - identifying moments they have enjoyed, skills they have used or developed and how the process has evolved.
Reflecting on the experiences today, which maths and numeracy skills did you need to use or develop in order to be successful?
Second Level Reflections
Second Level have been using a 'Reflective Log' booklet at the end of each day. They invite individual reflection from each child and respond to them personally.
